Batch computing is a real and permanent category. Jobs that run without a person waiting: rendering, simulation, genomics pipelines, financial risk calculations, ETL, model training. It’s the workload type that predates interactive computing and never went away.
Cloud providers all sell batch services, HPC centres run on the model, and the scheduling software behind it is a serious technical field with its own literature. What the category doesn’t have is an obvious independent home on the web.
The name fits a scheduling product, a managed compute service, a cost optimisation tool, a consultancy, or a technical resource. The cost angle is worth noting: batch workloads are where cloud spend gets wasted most spectacularly, and tooling that fixes it sells easily.
Two words, exact technical term, no hyphen, on the .com. For a technical buyer, an exact-match name in their own vocabulary carries authority that a coined name has to earn.
