Three characters, .org, in the X-to-Y form. M2I reads as machine to intelligence, model to inference, or member to institution depending on what you’re building, and all three have a home.
The AI reading is the most current. Model to inference describes the actual pipeline every deployed system runs, and a company or research group working on serving, optimisation, or deployment would find the name unusually apt. The .org suits the research and open-source end of that world, where credibility comes from not looking commercial.
The institutional reading works too. Membership organisations, mentoring programmes, and industry initiatives all use this shorthand naturally, and a short .org is close to the default shape for an association’s web address.
Three characters is the shortest memorable length available, and the .org space at that length was picked over decades ago.
The name is listed. Offers welcome.
