Opinion is the section every publication runs, the thing readers argue about, and the format that travels furthest on social platforms. It’s a one-word domain for one of the most durable categories in media.
The .org does specific work here. Commentary published under a .org reads as a platform rather than a brand, which is the posture most opinion operations want. Think of the sites that host arguments from many writers rather than pushing one house line. A syndication network, an op-ed marketplace, a debate platform, a nonprofit newsroom’s commentary arm. All of them fit this address better than they’d fit a coined name.
There’s a second use worth naming. Polling, survey research, and public sentiment work all sit under the same word, and a research organisation measuring what people think has a clean claim to it.
Single-word .org names in live editorial categories are not a renewable resource. This is one of the best of them.
Offers welcome.
