Ungathered is a real word used rarely, which makes it feel coined without being invented. It suggests things scattered, not yet collected, still out there.
That’s a useful idea for a brand. A travel company selling places that aren’t on the standard circuit. A publication covering stories nobody has pulled together yet. An archive project. A curation product whose whole premise is that the good material is loose in the world and somebody has to go find it. The word does that positioning in one breath.
It also has a quiet literary quality that suits publishing, photography, and independent media. Names in that space either try too hard or say nothing; this one sits in between, evocative without being precious.
Single word, spelled exactly as it sounds, on the .com, with no existing brand claiming it. The un- prefix makes it memorable in a way ordinary adjectives aren’t.
