Three characters on the .org, and the X at the front is doing the interesting work. In technical shorthand X is the variable, the anything. X2P therefore reads as anything-to-people, or anything-to-print, or anything-to-platform.
Anything-to-people is a surprisingly good framing for an organisation whose work is translation in the broad sense: taking technical, institutional, or bureaucratic material and making it usable by ordinary people. Plain-language projects, civic technology, and public information organisations all do exactly this.
The open-ended form suits a body with several programmes, since the name doesn’t commit to one input.
The .org makes the abstraction read as institutional breadth rather than as vagueness, which is the difference between a name that works and one that looks unfinished.
